Deal PBA Local 101 is a law enforcement labor organization representing the dedicated officers of the Deal Police Department in New Jersey. Our mission is to advocate for our members, protect their rights, and strengthen the profession of policing while supporting the safety and well-being of the community we serve.
In addition to serving the Borough of Deal, our members also provide 24/7 police services to the Borough of Interlaken and the Village of Loch Arbour through shared services contracts — extending the same level of professionalism, dedication, and community-focused policing to these neighboring municipalities.
Local 101 works on behalf of its members in matters such as disciplinary representation, grievances, contract negotiations, and workplace protections. Through unity, professionalism, and strong leadership, we strive to ensure that every officer is treated fairly and equipped to perform their duties with integrity and pride.
Together, as one union, we continue to stand up for the interests of our members, advance the standards of our profession, and meet the challenges facing law enforcement today. Our members go beyond the badge — supporting local causes, helping those in need, and making a difference in the communities we serve.
Each year, Local 101 awards scholarships to the top two graduating 8th grade students at Deal Elementary School, recognizing academic excellence and supporting the future of our community's youth.
Our members donate to the Asbury Park Rescue Mission each Thanksgiving, helping provide meals and support to those in need during the holiday season.
Each year around Christmas, our department holds a fundraiser in memory of Ptl. Jeff "CoCo" Henry. This fundraiser, known as Howl-iday, helps local animal shelters with food, supplies, and donations. Ptl. Henry was an animal lover, and we carry on his legacy by doing the best we can for our furry friends in the shelter.
